Fun Facts

  • I graduated from York University in 1996 with a degree in Fine Arts and later found my way to the Broadcast Media industry in Canada. In between my 15 years of working in the corporate world, I managed to pursue a life long dream of volunteering with wildlife and travelling in Africa.

  • While in Africa volunteering at a Penguin Rehab centre I was witness to a penguin necropsy* (aka autopsy), a very cool and once in a lifetime experience.

  • In addition to my work in the corporate world, I first explored my “internal entrepreneur” by opening and managing a pet sitting business where I combined my love of animals with my marketing and business experience.

  • Another side project included creating a blog where I could advocate for animals, do public outreach, education and write about wildlife with a special focus on felines.

  • I consider myself a renaissance woman, with interests ranging from science and conservation to the arts, and beyond.

  • My love of nature and wildlife is often reflected in my work and it’s why it felt right, with this new venture, to pay homage to one of my favourite wild cats, the puma.

*Not actual necropsy.
